Apple posts $7.7bn net profit in fiscal Q3 2014

Apple recorded revenues of $37.4 billion (£21.9bn) in its fiscal 2014 third quarter turning a net profit of $7.7 billion (£4.5bn). The figures represent a 5.9% climb in revenues from $35.3 billion (£20.7bn) at the same point a year ago, and a net profit increase of 11.6% from $6.9 billion (£4.0bn).
