Noel Gallagher: Liam is like a squeaky toy

Noel Gallagher says brother Liam is ''like a squeaky toy that swears a lot'' and admits whenever the warring siblings have met up, he always insults him.

Noel Gallagher says brother Liam is ''like a squeaky toy that swears a lot''.
The siblings haven't spoken properly since the break-up of their band, Oasis, in 2009 - caused by a huge argument between them - and Noel says when they have run into each other, the Beady Eye frontman insults him.
Noel said: ''I'm 45, he's 40. He's doing his thing, I'm doing my thing. But we texted each other at Christmas. I've seen him at a party after the Olympics, he did the usual and hurled an insult at me and walked off, which is kind of par for the course. He's like a like a squeaky toy that swears a lot. In a blazer.''
Noel also recounted a story about when they were still close and he gave Liam a tip as to how he could keep his champagne fresh by using a metal utensil in it - though his younger brother seemed to misunderstand the advice.
He added to UK station BBC 6 Music: ''We were round at his house one night. He says, 'Why have you got a fork in that bottle of champagne?' I replied, 'Cos it keeps the bubbles, keeps it fresh'
''A few weeks later we were round his house and opened the fridge door and there was a spoon in a bottle of milk.''

There is little more tedious than hearing some hoary old industry sage tell you that ‘rock music is dead’. Then, sure as the BBC turning up early at a Yewtree raid, will follow the bullshit Yin to that Yang: managers of young noise-rampant oiks who are, like, totally going to show the world why ROCK IS BACK! The only way to prove or disprove each hypothesis is with the combative antagonist’s kryptonite - solid, square data - and, well, statistics are usual ...

Play the Morrissey Drinking Game

Jul 25 2014 11:43am CDT | Source: Fresh 102.7

By Shannon Carlin Heaven knows Morrissey will be miserable now until forever. And in the name of his infinite sadness we say take a drink. Or two. You know what, just keep ‘em coming and pray we have enough cabernet to cover Moz’s entire 30-year career. Related: Under the Hood of Morrissey’s ‘World Peace is None of Your Business’ With Producer Joe Chiccarelli In honor of the recent release of Morrissey’s tenth solo studio LP, World Peace Is None Of Your Business, we th ...
