Chris Brown wants to be an inspiration to children and is launching his new foundation to set a good example

Chris Brown wants to inspire children.
The 23-year-old 'Turn Up The Music' singer - who will remain under supervised probation until early next year for beating on-again/off-again girlfriend Rihanna in 2009 - is launching his creative new charity the Symphonic Love Foundation in Los Angeles on Monday (05.11.12) because he wants to give back and set a good example for his younger fans.
A source close to the R&B star told HollywoodLife.com: ''Chris loves kids and he's a real talented painter. You've seen how [he] gets down when he be painting. He wants other people, especially kids, to be able to show their talent, paint and use their creativity. That's why he is who he is because [he] is creative and he's thinking outside the box. He just wants to give back, you know, help others and wants the kids to have a shot. It's hard out there for [people] these days, so he wants to give back as much as he can.''
Earlier this week, Chris revealed he is ''trying'' to be a better person.
The 'Beautiful People' singer said does not want to continually apologise for his behaviour in the past but can understand why some people don't like him.
But he explained he wants to prove when trouble happens in a person's life it does not get them down ''forever''.
He said: ''My story or my life or my legacy can hopefully show them that once you're down, that don't just mean you're down forever. You never let up. A lot of the negatives that we always go through, we're gonna have to get through that. It sounds crazy, but that's what makes us who we are.''
