Famous director of Top Gun died in apparent suicide.

Director Tony Scott died at the age of 68. According to CNN he jumped off the Vincent Thomas Bridge in San Pedro, CA. So far the details about the suicide are unknown. The police only  confirms that at this time they treat it as suicide.

Tony Scott is the brother of Ridley Scott. Tony Scott's last movie was the Unstoppable with Denzel Washington. He also produced the CBS hit show The Good Wife.
