WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange seeks asylum at Ecuador Embassy in London.

Julian Assange upped the stakes this week by fleeing into the Ecuador Embassy in London. He faces extradition to Sweden because of sexual assault charges. He denies these allegations and says that they are a setup to get him sent to the United States to face charges because of the WikiLeaks activities.

According to The Guardian, Assange chose Ecuador to apply for political asylum because of good relationships between him and the Ecuadorian president Rafael Correa.

If he gets asylum then the next problem is how to get to Ecuador without Scotland Yard taking him into custody.
