Angelina Jolie is reportedly considering a major Hollywood comeback including reprising her role in Maleficent sequel
Angelina Jolie just made a statement to the world when she headed to Cambodia with her six children for the premiere of her Cambodian movie, First They Killed My Father. Having served as a producer on the movie, Angelina called the project very close to her heart because her oldest son Maddox was adopted from the country. She also talked about her somewhat messy divorce and called it a tough time on her family from which she hoped they would emerge stronger and better.
First They Killed My Father does not seem to be the only project that Angelina seems interested in. The 41 years old actress is reportedly considering a couple of projects in all three professional categories including acting, direction and production.
Angelina is considering large-scale projects which are currently in development at Universal. They include Catherine the Great and Potemkin: The Imperial Love Affair, and a World War II spy drama called The Spy Who Loved, based on Clare Mulley’s book of the same name, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
One project that Disney and fans both want her to play once more is Maleficent. The first part of the live action Sleeping Beauty adaptation from a different perspective was a major hit on the big screen. Disney announced that they will be making the sequel to the 2014 original and Angelina being the central character will be crucial in making the sequel possible.
She is also She is also considering starring in Universal’s remake of The Bride of Frankenstein and Sony’s Shoot Like a Girl, based on the true story of an American Air Force major and helicopter pilot Mary Jennings Hegar.
We will have to wait and see what projects Angelina decided to pursue.
