Jennifer Lopez and Lin Manuel Miranda perform the song Love Make the World Go Round for the victims of the Orlando Pulse Club shooting.
Straight off the Hamilton stage, Lin Manuel Miranda collaborated with Jennifer Lopez to bring the world a song filled with love and heartfelt emotions. Inspired by his speech for the victims at the Tony’s, the song is titled Love Makes the World Go Round.
The song tinged with an up-tempo synthpop beat and resilient messages. They teased the song for the fans. Both the stars also pictured and posted their studio sessions together on Twitter. The stars then performed NBC’s Today show on a brilliant New York summer day to fans outside Rockefeller Centre, according to E! News.
They will also perform on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. After that the song will go on sale on iTunes. Almost 90 percent of the proceedings of the earnings from the song will go to the Hispanic Foundation’s Somos Orlando fund, which will provide mental health services to survivors.
Both the singers being Hispanic hope to make a difference for the victims and their families from the fateful night of June 12th. On the terrifying night, a lone gunman attacked the Pulse nightclub which ended in the death of 49 people and another 53 injured, according to Telegraph.
Jennifer and Lin hope to work again under better circumstances later on. Jennifer joked that she is persuading Miranda to write a musical for her to star in. She said that she wants him to write a musical that is better than Hamilton. She will star and sing in it and win a Tony award as well.
Jennifer Lopez was one of the attendees at Lin’s final performance as Hamilton. Lin joked that writing another better musical with another seven years of his life gone is a prospect he is not thinking about. It took him seven years to write Hamilton. Currently he is working on Disney’s Moana soundtrack and also on Mary Poppins Returns.
