Beyonce released her 6th album on HBO Saturday night. The new Beyonce album titled Lemonade is exclusively available for streaming on Tidal. The streaming service has again locked down a high profile exclusive.
Beyonce’s Lemonade is a “visual album.” Queen Be has not only recorded whole album but also a series of videos that tell the story of relationships, infidelity, empowerment, reconciliation and love. The special on HBO was an hour long and the pay TV channel says that it is only available for one day. Beyonce featured several celebrities in the Lemonade video.
You can spot Serena Williams, Zendaya, Quvenzhané Wallis, Jay Z and Beyonce’s daughter Blue Ivy. The new Beyonce album builds on the single Formation released earlier this year.
There is a 30 day free trial of Tidal available. The streaming service regular price is $9.99 per month for the standard sound quality option. The loss free service sells for $19.99 per month.
It is not clear when Lemonade goes on sale as album and I assume there will be a Lemonade DVD and Blu-ray. Tidal will have at least a couple weeks of exclusive streaming rights to Beyonce’s album. Things always are in flux as we have seen with the latest Kanye West album.
