A whole franchise of products has started based on the movie. Stretchkins toys have miniature versions of Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo and Donatello in addition to the classic models of Playful Puppy, True Blue Elephant, Pretty Unicorn, Red Dragon and Jumping Frog.
They were invented to fight childhood obesity by the man who created them. The movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles shows a group of four turtles that come into contact with radioactivity and have mutations occur in their makeup.
They wind up becoming Ninjas and their master and mentor is a king-sized rat that metes out valuable advice to them. For much of the 90s this was a popular cartoon series on television. It was eagerly seen by scores of kids and I dare say adults too although covertly.
Well, now the adults can join in along with their kids, since the reboot version of the movie is for all audiences big and small. Meanwhile, Megan Fox will get to appear in the favorite series of her childhood days.
