Patrick Swayze's widow remarries

May 25 2014, 5:57pm CDT | by

Patrick Swayze's widow got remarried today (25.05.14).

Lisa Niemi, who was married to the 'Dirty Dancing' actor for 34 years before his death from pancreatic cancer in September 2009, tied the knot with jeweller Albert DePrisco in Palm Beach, Florida.

The couple - who started dating two years ago and got engaged on Christmas Eve last December (24.12.13) - exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony at The Mar-a-Lago Club in front of more than 50 guests.

The 'Beat Angel' actress, 57, told PEOPLE.com on Friday (23.05.14): "What I most look forward to on my wedding day is walking up, standing at our altar, and looking into his most incredible, twinkling eyes. I cannot think of a bigger treat than that."

The bride wore a wedding gown designed by Oscar de la Renta and admitted she was looking forward to celebrating with her guests at their reception.

She said: "I have some hilarious friends. I'm sure there will be some fun toasts! Later on we'll dance to everything from Michael Bublé and Steve Tyrell, to 70's classics, to current hits, with a big dash of romance thrown in."

Lisa previously admitted that she would like to find love again shortly after the first anniversary of 'Ghost' star Patrick's death.

She said: "I would love companionship love. Absolutely. I hope I'm not one of these women who never want to have another relationship. But who knows, that's another bridge I'll cross when I come to it. I may get there and go, I don't know. But I like to think that I can."

Gerard Butler Gets a Handful of His Mystery Brunette on the Beach

Sep 26 2014 12:46pm CDT | Source: Pop Sugar

Gerard Butler packed on the PDA with a new lady friend during a day at the beach in Malibu, CA, on Thursday. The hunky Scottish actor went shirtless to do some stand-up paddleboarding, and he and his bikini-clad brunette girlfriend couldn't help getting frisky while wading in the water. Gerard is obviously still comfortable in the ocean, despite dropping out of the Point Break remake earlier this year. He was reportedly in talks to portray Bodhi - who was original ...

Eye On The Beer: Pabst Blue Ribbon Sold To Russian Company

Sep 19 2014 4:18pm CDT | Source: CBS 5

Say it ain’t so! Pabst Blue Ribbon has been acquired by Russian company Oasis Beverages. Along with PBR Oasis also takes on Rainier, Lone Star, Old Style, Colt 45, Schlitz and more, thereby pretty much cornering the market in ironic Americana beer drinking. Hipsters beware! Not since Apollo Creed was killed in the ring by Ivan Drago has the United States lost such a cultural icon to Russia! In a statement by new Pabst CEO Eugene Kashper, “Pabst Blue Ribbon is the quintessential American bra ...

DPAC’s Dirty Dancing is Better Than Other Movies-Turned-Stage-Adaptations

Sep 19 2014 12:21pm CDT | Source: Triangle Arts and Entertainment

Stage adaptations of popular films have gotten trendy as of late (see Ghost, Sister Act, The Little Mermaid, ad nauseam), so it’s no surprise that Dirty Dancing, the 1987 smash hit film, would get in on the trend. What is surprising, however, is that instead of just rehashing the film and adding a bunch of catchy-if-pointless songs, Eleanor Bergstein’s version, directed by James Powell and onstage now at DPAC, renders the story even more charming an ...

The Rom-Com Couples Who HATED Each Other In Real Life ...

Aug 2 2014 8:43am CDT | Source: Oh No They Didn't!

It’s a hoary old romcom cliché – the mismatched guy and girl who hate each other at first but eventually learn to respect each others’ differences and wind up falling in love. Regarding the first part at least, the real relationships between screen couples aren’t always too far from the truth – sometimes working in such close proximity causes leading men and women to drive each other crazy. Not to shatter your illusion ...
