Keira Knightley: Marriage is 'alright'

Apr 29 2014, 3:24am CDT | by

Keira Knightley's marriage is "alright".

The 'Begin Again' actress appeared surprised to learn her and James Righton's wedding anniversary is just a few days away but says all is well in their relationship.

Reminded by E! News that she celebrates a year of marriage on May 4, Keira looked surprised and replied: "Oh yeah, is it?"

She was then asked how the couple's first year as man and wife has been and she replied: "We're still together so it must have been alright."

The 29-year-old beauty admitted her Klaxons musician spouse tried to teach her to play guitar for her role in 'Begin Again', but their lessons didn't go too well and were quickly aborted because she wasn't "very good".

She said: "He tried to teach me how to play the guitar and I tried not to kill him--so that was about it. And he stopped trying to teach me the guitar 'cause I'm not very good at it."

The 'Anna Karenina' actress recently admitted she struggles to stay in touch with her friends and family when working on a film because of her "extreme" lifestyle.

She said: "When I'm not working it's really about seeing as many friends as possible and making sure I'm there in their lives. The way I work is extreme. You can't really have a personal life if you're working on films all the time. There's Skype, but, really, there's just no way of doing it.

"The hours are so long, you're always in a different country, you're always doing a different thing."

'The Imitation Game' will not feature Alan Turing’s sexuality as a major plot point

Sep 18 2014 3:28pm CDT | Source: Oh No They Didn't!

The victory of The Imitation Game at the Toronto film festival, from which I’ve just returned, seals the deal for the biopic of Alan Turing to dominate the Oscars, just as previous winners 12 Years a Slave, The King’s Speech and Slumdog Millionaire have in years gone by. The Brits are coming! Again! So why my sinking heart? Partly it’s because – unlike 12 Years a Slave – The Imitation Game simply isn’t ve ...

Film Festival Fashion Fails!

Sep 11 2014 1:36pm CDT | Source: Celeb TV

Hollywood invaded Canada for The Toronto International Film Festival and left their fashion sense in the States! Robert Downey Jr. showed up to the Dolce & Gabbana TIFF party in a suit that looked more like pajamas. Kristen Bell's baby bump style had us confused. And guess which look we thought was more suited for a Star Wars game? You'll have to see Keira Knightley's frock to believe it. And check out the beautiful Jul ...

Keira Knightley Premieres “Laggies” in Stormy Toronto

Sep 11 2014 1:18pm CDT | Source: GossipCenter

Braving the nasty summer storm looming overhead, Keira Knightley showed up at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival on Wednesday night (September 10) to premiere her new flick “Laggies.” The “Love Actually” actress got all gussied up in a Michael van der Ham dress as she headed over to Roy Thomson Hall, however the wind and rain definitely took its toll on her usually flawless presentation. After the crowds began shouting, “Beyonce!” in reference to the wind ...

Keira Knightley’s TIFF style, Stella, Chanel & more: which is your favorite?

Sep 11 2014 10:20am CDT | Source: Celebitchy.com

I was so obsessed with Benedict Cumberbatch this week that I sort of forgot to cover Keira Knightley’s fashion for the most part – her (fug) Dolce & Gabbana dress barely got a mention the other day. But Keira was really bringing the fashion p0rn to TIFF this week, and it’s worth discussing. First off, we have this lovely navy Michael van der Ham dress that she wore last night to the (very windy) carpet for Laggies. I would ...

This Woman's Question For Benedict Cumberbatch Will Make You Cringe With Horror

Sep 11 2014 9:35am CDT | Source: Pop Sugar

We all know that Benedict Cumberbatch has very dedicated fans, but sometimes the more overeager of the self-proclaimed "Cumberbitches" can make things a bit awkward for the star. Benedict joined the cast of his new film, The Imitation Game, in Toronto on Tuesday to screen the Alan Turing-centered flick and take part in a Q&A. Unfortunately, while at the Q&A, things got a little weird when one female ...

Benedict Cumberbatch wears a sharp navy suit at TIFF premiere: fab or fug?

Sep 10 2014 9:40am CDT | Source: Celebitchy.com

I told you we had tons of new Benedict Cumberbatch photos, and here you go. I’ve split them up into two posts – the first post was for TIFF photocall pics and these photos are for the TIFF premiere last night, plus some additional pics of Benedict arriving back in England today. When Benedict arrived on the carpet for The Imitation Game last night, he was wearing his glasses for some of the photos, but he took them off quickly, which is a shame. He had a whole “s ...

Best Actress Race, Still on for Julianne Moore? Still Alice

Sep 9 2014 10:17pm CDT | Source: Oh No They Didn't!

Everyone's talking about it: This year's two female acting categories are, at this admittedly early date, looking extremely thin. In the lead actress category, of what has already been screened, the one and only slam-dunk contender is Reese Witherspoon (Wild). Of what is still to come, Meryl Streep (Into the Woods) could get in, Amy Adams (Big Eyes) is always a possibility and Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl) has a plum part — but really, who knows? This possible opening has been recog ...
