Emma Roberts' fiancé thought she was 'weird'

Emma Roberts' fiancé thought she was "weird" when they first met.

The couple - who got engaged over the Christmas period - were introduced to each other while filming 'Adult World' in 2012, but the 22-year-old actress admits her beau Evan Peters, 26, didn't show her an ounce of interest at first, despite her endless flirting.

Speaking on chat show 'Chelsea Lately' she said: "We met on the movie. Everyone thought we dated on the movie and we didn't, not for a long time after. I actually, on the set, was like, 'Oh yeah, we're totally gonna date.'

"And I would like flirt with him, which ended up looking like I had something in my eye because I'd be like, 'Hey, what's up?' and he literally didn't speak to me the entire movie. He thought I was so weird."

However, the blonde beauty admits her costume didn't do her any favours when it came to encouraging Evan to ask her out on a date.

She joked: "I had no makeup, it looks like I cut my own hair off, so I was not exactly looking cute to get a man."

However, the path of love has not always been smooth for the couple, as in July last year Emma - niece of actress Julia Roberts - was arrested when they had a fight in Montreal, Canada, which left him with a bloody nose and a bite mark, and her with bruised legs.

The police had intervened after somebody else in their hotel had called for help, but Emma was released without charge.

The couple didn't break up over the incident, and friends later claimed they have a "pretty extreme" relationship but were "crazy in love" with each other.
