Sandra Bullock leads People's Choice Award winners

Sandra Bullock was the big winner at the People's Choice Awards on Wednesday night (01.08.13).

The 49-year-old actress took home the trophies for Favorite Movie Actress, Favorite Comedic Actress and Favorite Dramatic Actress, and her partnership with George Clooney in 'Gravity' awarded them Favorite Movie Duo. Additionally, 'The Heat' - in which she starred with Melissa McCarthy - was named Favorite Comedic Movie.

Justin Timberlake paid tribute to his "beautiful wife" Jessica Biel when accepting the Favourite Male Entertainer award, one of three trophies he took home.

Justin - whose album 'The 20/20 Experience' was named Favorite Album and who also won Favorite R&B Artist - said: "I'd like to thank my beautiful wife for teaching me patience and the little things like just putting the dishes in the dish washer. It goes a long way - fellas, you're welcome!"

Meanwhile, talk show host Ellen DeGeneres set a record as the woman who has gained the most People's Choice Awards as she took home Favorite Daytime TV Host, bringing her total haul over the years to 14.

In her acceptance speech, she said: "As a young girl growing up in New Orleans, if anyone would have told me I was going to win 14 People's Choice Awards I ... I mean 12, yes. 13, maybe. But 14?"

Robert Downey Jr. sparked laughter at Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre by getting into character when he picked up the Favorite Action Movie Star award for 'Iron Man 3', a film which was also named Favorite Movie and Favorite Action Movie.

He got on stage and asked the sound of his microphone be changed, the spotlight was on only him and some "triumphant" music was played.

He then said: "I am Iron Man and this is for the people. Thanks a lot this is really a pleasure. Thank you ... people, people, people."

Other winners at the fan-voted awards included 'Glee', Katy Perry - who took home Favorite Music Video for the third year in a row - Demi Lovato, 'The Big Bang Theory' and Jennifer Hudson.
