Brian McFadden: My golfing Christmas

Dec 24 2013, 12:26am CST | by

Brian McFadden and his model wife are planning a child-free Christmas playing golf in Spain.

The former Westlife singer - who has children Lily-Sue, 10, and Molly-Marie, 11, with ex-wife Kerry Katona - will travel with his new love Vogue Williams, to visit her family and says golf will be a big part of his festive celebrations.

He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I'm going to Spain for Christmas actually.

"Golf is a huge part of my life and I'm very lucky that I married a woman whose family are golf mad.

"Her younger brother is on his golf scholarship at Berkley and her stepfather and mum live on a golf course, they live on Valderama so they pretty much play golf every day.

"We're going to their house for Christmas for the week, a lot is going to be based around golf which is pretty much the perfect Christmas for me.

"If I was going to write to Santa Claus and ask for the perfect Christmas that would be it."

The 33-year-old star was initially worried about what to buy Vogue for Christmas but he's managed to select a "couple of bits and pieces."

He said: "When Christmas comes round I always get the fear of life that I'm not going to get the right present.

"My wife loves clothes and I have no idea about clothes, so I always try and buy clothes.

"I bought her a gift when I was getting off the plane, a bottle of perfume which was a nice brand. She smelt it and said, 'It smells like p**s.' So that gave me a bigger fear.

"Then you're always afraid that you're going to buy a size too big and then she's gonna say you think she's fat.

"I'm easy to buy for. All you've got to do is buy me golf balls or a gold T-shirt, easy. Guys are always easy to buy for."
