Taylor Swifts Ex Gets Arrested in Front of White House

Conor Kennedy and other protesters had handcuffed themselves to the gates.

They were in protest of the Keystone XL pipeline, which is being built to ferry crude oil from Alberta, Canada, to the Texas Gulf Coast. Some of the other protesters were Kennedy's dad and celebrity Daryl Hannah.

Per the New York Times' Green blog, four dozen people were charged with failure to disperse and obey lawful orders and then all were released on a $100 bond apiece. Conor Kennedy was new to this type of situation unlike Daryl Hannah who had protested the pipeline in Texas last October.
